Artist's Comments

Concept art done back in November. The unseelie elf has an affinity for the dark, and one who revels in the art of war and chaos. This design is born from the idea of damp, pitchblack caves, hence the scaly armor.

EDIT: I updated the old image with an enhanced colored version. Most of you have seen this piece back when I submitted it in early 2004. I was bored and decided to retouch the colors on some of my older pieces. YES, digital paint fades too! :fuzzydemon:

Wow, what a stunning image! I love the muted colors, they are easy on the eyes and most appealing. I love all the little details in the armour, the coloring is simply stunning. The use of the blues and pinks and yellows really creates a mystical feel to this, the 'swirl' of yellow adds a good bit of motion to the image. Nice composition and use of negative space. Just stunning.

thank you! :D these characters are owned by infinite dreams entertainment. i merely provided the concept art based on the write-ups on the unseelie elf race. by the way, the moon i just cut from an exisiting photograph then i painted over it with PS. hehe.
